Roush Performance is no stranger to modifying The Blue Oval’s vehicles. Ford has rolled out several new models and packages for owners to consider, like the 2022 Roush Ranger and 2021 Roush Bronco R package. Now, the company has revealed its latest creation: the 2022 Roush F-150, itself a heavily modified version of the pickup that can be credibly seen as a Ford F-150 Tremor rival, with one notable exception.
The 2022 Roush F-150 blends style with substance, but overall should appeal to those who want something a bit more unique than a Ford F-150 Tremor, which currently exists as a fully-fledged trim within the broader lineup. A set of 20-inch Iridium Gray wheels play host to 33-inch Grabber A/TX tires and the company has also developed its own coil-over suspension system to boot. Like the Tremor, the Roush F-150 gets a unique exhaust system that can boast an active exhaust if optioned that way. The new model also gains unique front and rear bumpers, clearance lighting, a grille that adds heat-extraction capabilities beyond the factory part, and other cosmetic touches.
Inside, the 2022 Roush F-150 adds standard leather seating with embroidered company logos on the headrests, and the special Lariat leather is designed around the factory Vintage Carmine interior accents. Functional cabin upgrades include a Roush gauge cluster and special WeatherTech floor liners. Additionally, Roush will offer buyers two cabin vault options, each separately available for the first and second rows.
Like previous iterations, the 2022 Roush F-150 can be created by modifying a stock Ford F-150 XLT 302A or Lariat 502A, although this year the cost for the package has increased to $18,500 above whatever base vehicle is provided. That places the model on a more expensive tier than the Ford F-150 Tremor, broadly speaking, but as always, these specialty models won’t be nearly as common on the ground. As an additional selling point, Roush does match the factory warranty with its own three year, 36 month guarantee of its own.
