Over the past few days, Ford has released new chrome and black exhaust tips for a couple of different pickups, including the Ford Ranger and Ford Super Duty. Thus, it makes sense that the automaker’s catalog has expanded once again to include those same items for the 2021-2022 Ford F-150, and that’s precisely the case, as owners of the perennially best-selling pickup now have a couple of additional appearance items to choose from.
First up, we new traditional chrome exhaust tips for the 2021-2022 Ford F-150, which are sold under part number M-5260-CT1. The chrome exhaust tips retail for $120 and fit all 2021-2022 F-150 models equipped with the Ford 2.7L V6 EcoBoost, 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, 3.5L V6 PowerBoost hybrid, and 5.0L V8 Coyote powerplants. The tips are made from chrome-plated double-wall 304 stainless steel and come with the required clamp to secure it to the truck’s tailpipe, but some trimming of that unit is required for a proper fit.
Next up, we have black-chrome plated exhaust tips for 2021-2022 F-150 models, which are sold under part number M-5260-BCT1 for the retail price of $150. These tips are essentially otherwise identical to the traditional chrome units in every way, including the specific engines they’re compatible with, as well as their construction and the need to trim the truck’s tailpipe for a proper fit.
These exhaust tips are just the latest in a long line of exhaust upgrades for the Ford F-150, which has most recently seen the addition of a touring exhaust system in FoMoCo’s catalog, as well as a louder extreme exhaust system and a pair of sport exhaust systems with either black or chrome tips.
