Shelby, renowned for producing exceptional Ford Mustang models, has established a reputation for offering a wide range of parts, accessories, and complete turnkey builds for the Ford F-150. This includes the acclaimed Super Snake and Shelby’s unique take on the F-150 Raptor, both of which incorporate various enhancements in terms of style and performance to the popular pickup truck. Now, expanding their lineup further, Shelby has unveiled the 2023 Ford F-150 Centennial Edition.Â
Distinguishing itself from the Super Snake, the 2023 Ford F-150 Centennial Edition places a stronger emphasis on off-road capabilities rather than being tailored solely for paved surfaces. This edition pays homage to Carroll Shelby’s passion for off-road adventures, not limited to race tracks and highways. In fact, Shelby was the proud owner of the first production Ford Bronco and had also crafted a handful of trucks and SUVs throughout the years.Â
The foundation of the 2023 Ford F-150 Centennial Edition is a Lariat SuperCrew four-wheel drive model equipped with the Ford 5.0L V8 Coyote engine. Customers have the option to further enhance the engine’s power by incorporating a Shelby supercharger kit. With this upgrade, the output can be elevated from 400 horsepower to a staggering 800 horsepower. The supercharger kit includes not only the blower but also an upgraded air intake, an aluminum heat exchanger, a Shelby by Borla exhaust system, and a billet throttle body with high-flow injectors.Â
Beneath its rugged exterior, the F-150 Centennial Edition receives notable enhancements, including beefier brakes, rear traction bars, and a Shelby by Fox suspension system featuring a BDS lift and 2.5 internal bypass reservoir shocks. The truck proudly exhibits its Shelby identity with a ram air hood, 22-inch wheels paired with 35-inch BFGoodrich KO2 tires, fender flares, a new front bumper cover, and Shelby badging throughout the exterior. This attention to detail extends to the interior as well.Â
In addition to the remarkable features, buyers of the 2023 Ford F-150 Centennial Edition are rewarded with a Team Shelby membership, a Carroll Shelby Edition black Stetson hat, and a special book to commemorate their purchase. However, this particular truck will be a rare sight on the roads, as Shelby plans to produce only 100 units for the current model year.
