Here at Gary Crossley Ford in Liberty, Missouri, we like a good streak.
If you know what I mean.
Our best-seller, the Ford F150, has been reigning champion for 45 years in a row. America’s favorite truck. Year in and year out.
So we can understand the excitement coming from our Jayhawk brethren over this year’s basketball team and their trip back to the Final 4 on Saturday night in New Orleans. #1 Seed Kansas is a 5 point favorite over Villanova.
But let’s talk about that streak.
Or streaks, if you want to be technical about it.
Kansas can’t claim the 45 years in a row that the F150 has won the truck wars or even the 40 consecutive years that the F150 has been America’s #1 selling motor vehicle of any kind, but with this year’s championship run, the Jayhawks have done something that no other men’s college basketball team has ever done.
Kansas has reached the NCAA championship for 31 years in a row.
Thirty ONE-derful, baby. They got more flavor than Baskin-Robbins.
And just like the F150 at Gary Crossley Ford, the Jayhawks just keep on winning:
- Nearly 100 winning seasons – the most in NCAA Division 1 history
- 35 winning seasons in a row
- 14 consecutive regular-season championships
- 63 conference championships – A worldwide record.
The 63rd conference championship came just a few weeks ago when the Jayhawks brought the boom to Texas Tech in this year’s Big 12 Championship right here in Kansas City.
One more streak the Jayhawks have working for them: Blowing through championship tourneys like a bull in a china shop this year, Kansas is riding a 9 game win streak.
Come Experience The Crossley Difference
But the only game that matters is Saturday night in the Big Easy. Every streak starts with one and rides on the next one.
That’s why we treat every customer at Gary Crossley the way they want to be treated. Like family. Like a friend.
Congratulations to all our Jayhawk friends out there. Even though we’re deep in the heart of Liberty, Missouri (Go Tigers!), Gary Crossley ford can get behind winning traditions when we see them.
Just ask any F150 owner you know.
Game recognize game!
