The 2023 Ford Super Duty, which was unveiled last September, has undergone a complete redesign, featuring a fresh appearance, revamped interior, a new engine, updated powertrain options, and additional features.Ā
On the exterior, the 2023 Ford Super Duty showcases numerous enhancements, including the introduction of C-clamp headlights and a brand-new cab design. Various packages are available, such as the Tremor Off-Road, STX, Sport, and Black Appearance Packages. Additionally, there’s the new XL Off-Road Package, exclusively offered for F-250 or F-350 models equipped with four-wheel drive and single rear wheels. This package adds 33-inch tires, a raised air dam, water-fording axle vent tubes, skid plates, and an electronic locking rear differential.Ā
Inside the cabin, the 2023 Super Duty incorporates a range of changes. It features a single binnacle design and offers an 8-inch touchscreen as standard for the XL trim, while higher trims come with a 12-inch display. A customizable 12-inch digital instrument cluster is available, along with convenient features like a wireless charging pad and four USB ports. The vehicle also offers Max Recline Seats for added comfort and a choice between an eight-speaker B&O sound system or an optional 18-speaker B&O Unleashed system.Ā
When it comes to powertrains, Ford claims that the 2023 Super Duty provides the highest towing capacity, payload capacity, torque, and horsepower among all heavy-duty full-size trucks. The notable addition is the brand-new 6.8L V8 engine, which serves as the model’s standard powerplant. The revised engine lineup also includes a more powerful version of the 7.3L V8 Godzilla, the 6.7L V8 Power Stroke diesel engine, and a new high-output variant of the Power Stroke that incorporates a unique turbo, tune, and upgraded exhaust manifolds.Ā
All of these powerplants are paired with Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission, and four-wheel drive comes standard on all XLT trimmed trucks and higher. Ford’s Pro Power Onboard feature makes its debut on the 2023 Ford Super Duty, providing 2.0 kW of portable power. Production of the 2023 Ford Super Duty takes place at the Kentucky Truck plant and Ohio Assembly plant, with shipments of all trim levels beginning last month after Ford received over 200,000 orders as of late January.Ā
