FORD MAVERICK RANKS HIGH IN CONSUMER REPORTS TESTING

The Ford Maverick has won a lot of praise for its outstanding performance. It received the highly sought-after “recommended” designation from Consumer Reports and was named one of the top 10 most fulfilling automobiles, winning the Kelley Blue Book award for Best Compact Pickup Truck. The Maverick is now included alongside the Ford Escape as one of the market’s most fuel-efficient vehicles by Consumer Reports, which continues to commend the vehicle.

Consumer Reports utilized its own fuel economy test results, which are based on a combination of highway and city driving and computed using a precision flow meter, to create this ranking. Plug-in hybrid vehicles are not included on the list, but every car on it tested at least 37 miles per gallon.

The Ford Maverick Hybrid made the list with an annual fuel cost of $1,315 and a fuel economy rating of 33 mpg in the city, 39 mpg on the highway, and 37 mpg combined. The Maverick, the only non-crossover or sedan to reach the list, dazzled with its fuel-saving results as the first pickup truck to come standard with a hybrid engine unit.

The pickup’s bed was referred to as “practical,” and users said the controls were “very simple” to operate. The Maverick stands out as the lone pickup truck to make the cut, despite coming in at number 10 on the list.
