āWant to see a beautiful luxury car that can tow 14,000 lbs. (6,350 kg)?ā Wards asks. āLook inside the new Ford F-150.ā The 2021 Ford F-150 Limited, in particular, contains a ālevel of refinement like that seen in high-end passenger cars,ā according to judge Drew Winter. Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, however, this marks the F-150ās first win in this category since the 2015 King Ranch.
Regardless, Wards judges came away impressed not only with the luxurious cabin of the Limited but also its innovative features, including the Interior Work Surface and Max Recline Seats. And of course, the judges found it quite attractive inside the cab as well. āThis has a well-tailored look to me,ā said judge Dave Zoia.
While many modern vehicles are moving away from physical controls, the F-150ās combination of a large 12-inch touchscreen and buttons and knobs āshould be a template for all vehicles, not just big trucks, to ease the driverās ability to readily make changes to often-used functions ā temperature, fan, volume, and tuning,ā said judge Bob Gritzinger.
It wasnāt just modern tech, ease of use, and comfort that wowed the judges, however ā other, more basic things impressed as well. āRunning boards make for easy entry and exit from front and back,ā said judge Christie Schweinsberg. āGiant legroom in the second row helps with ingress/egress from there.ā
