Back in February, the 1962 Ford F-100 got a very special tribute in the form of a new specialty Hot Wheels die-cast model as part of the company’s Red Line Club offerings, which are exclusively available to members only. That particular model featured a bright Spectraflame bright orange and gloss white two-tone paint job and plenty of vintage hot rod style, but it isn’t the last 1962 Ford F-100 to join the Red Line Club, as Hot Wheels is set to release yet another version of that same pickup.
This new 1:64 scale die-cast pickup is also a Red Line Club exclusive, and is similar in terms of style to the previous offering, albeit with a Spectraflame navy blue paint job, a white roof, and a “Genuine Ford Parts Sales & Service” logo on the doors. Other unique features include an opening hood, the optional larger wraparound rear window, Real Riders deep dish wheels with red hubs, and light smoke tinted windows.
The toy pickup rides on a chrome-plated metal chassis and like all Red Line Club models, features a highly detailed engine bay that looks pretty darn real. Overall, this truck has a very cool vintage hot rod vibe that extends to the interior, which is finished in gloss white with navy blue painted details.
This limited-edition model comes packaged with an illustrated RLC blister card and is packed in a Kar Keepers clamshell case with an individually numbered sticker. It will be available to RLC members only on July 26th, 2022 at 9am Pacific Time for a retail price of $25 until all available units are sold out, though it’s limited to one per member or five per household.
