The new Bronco is one of Ford’s most popular nameplates. So, the long waiting time for the new SUV did not surprise us, and the long waiting period is probably also why we get to see so many exciting Bronco restomods. Recently, we came across this eye-catching Coyote-powered Bronco restomod, which is currently up for sale on Bring a Trailer.
West Lebanon, New York-based LAL Customs is responsible for this gorgeous automotive masterpiece. The pickup truck started life as a 1966 Ford Bronco before it was extensively modified. In addition to repainting the bodywork of this custom Bronco in this beautiful blue color, the team at LAL customs also replaced the truck’s frame and refurbished the interior.
Inside the cabin, we find plush brown leather adorning the seats and the door panels, whereas the paint on the dashboard matches the rest of the bodywork. This truck comes complete with creature comforts like a Vintage Air HVAC system and power steering. The Bronco also has a removable hardtop, which flaunts the beautiful blue paint job.
To achieve a tasteful contrast, the door hinges, rearview mirrors, and bumpers of this Coyote-powered Bronco restomod were chrome plated.
The pièce de résistance of this truck sits under its hood where we find a 5-liter Ford Coyote V8 motor. This Gen 2 powerplant hooks up to a six-speed 6R80 automatic gearbox. This motor was good for 435 HP of maximum power and 400 lb-ft of peak torque in its factory tune. With a 23-gallon fuel tank, this truck offers plenty of range. The stopping power comes from four-wheel disc brakes.
The restomod’s Atlas II dual-range transfer case sends power to all four wheels and allows this Ford Bronco to take on even the most challenging terrains. The truck rides on a set of beautiful Mag-style 17-inch polished aluminum wheels, and Nitto Ridge Grappler tires (285/70) envelop the 17-inch rims. A 2.5-inch suspension lift and a Ford 9-inch rear axle complete this high riding ensemble. The auction ends in just four days, and the highest bid at the moment stands at $45,000.
