While the Ford Bronco, in general, remainsĀ a hot commodity among collectors and enthusiastsĀ these days,Ā the oft-forgotten or ignored generationsĀ are getting just as much love in recent months as the always-popular ones, too. That means weāre starting to see some low-mile examplesĀ pop up for sale, the SUVs that were owned by folks who simply didnāt drive them much, kept them stored in garages, and took incredibly good care of them. That group now includes this stellar 1990 Ford Bronco up for grabs atĀ Bring a Trailer, and itās a truly fine example of that breed.
In fact, youāre looking at a one-owner 1990 Ford Bronco that was just acquired by the second-owner this past May. The āute reportedly sat for quite some time prior to being purchased, so the new owner has since gone through it mechanically and cosmetically, but the results quite simply speak for themselves. The timeless blue and white two-tone exterior looks like brand new, and there are a few cool period touches on the outside as well.
Those include a set of mudflaps, running boards, and 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in wrapped in white letter 235/75 General Grabber AP tires, which give this Bronco even more of a vintage look. Hop inside, and youāll see more of the same, as this utility has a virtually flawless blue interior with vinyl bucket front seats, cruise control, a locking center console, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. The previous owner even installed an air horn, in case you really want to get someoneās attention in traffic.
This particular Bronco is equipped with Fordās legendary 5,0-liter V8, which was originally rated to produce 185 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. Itās mated to a five-speed manual transmission, which is something that we donāt see every day, and has been treated to a new battery,Ā fuel lines, fuel filter, radiator hoses, thermostat, water pump drive belt, spark plugs, starter solenoid, air filter, muffler, and tailpipe.
This is clearly a very nice barn find that was well-taken care of by its original owner prior to being stored away and forgotten about, but now, itās back and looking just about as good as new. Given its unique add-ons and manual gearbox, itāll be very interesting to see if that translates to auction success, however.
