The Ford Bronco Sport has won over its fair share of consumers and critics since the rugged crossover launched, including Consumer Reports, which previously named the Bronco Sport one of the best SUVs on the market under $30k and added it to its list of recommended vehicles last year. The same can be said of the Ford Mustang Mach-E, which has also earned a spot on CR‘s recommended vehicles list and most satisfying SUVs to own list, and brought home the consumer organization’s 2022 Top EV Pick award. Now, shortly after the Mach-E retained its spot on Consumer Reports‘ recommended cars list this year, the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport has earned a place as one of the most satisfying smaller SUVs on the market, too.
Determining the most satisfying vehicles on the planet is a relatively easy task, as this process involves Consumer Reports asking its members one question – would you buy this vehicle if you had to do it all over again? In that regard, the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport performed rather well, finishing with an overall score of 82.
The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport received praise for its rugged looks, increased ground clearance, capable four-wheel drive system, taut and agile handling, and its easy-to-use infotainment system. Owners were slightly less thrilled with the vibrations from the base turbocharged Ford 1.5L I-3 EcoBoost powerplant and firm ride, however.
In terms of individual categories, the Bronco Sport scored a 76 out of 100 in driving experience, a 62 in comfort, a 59 in value, and a 90 in styling. The Tucson only managed a 54 in value but beat the Blue Oval crossover in every other category, while the Forester and Crosstrek performed well enough in every category to beat out the Bronco Sport overall.
