Back in April of 2020, we learned that the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 would be discontinued, and a few months later, the very last example of the track-focused pony car rolled off the assembly line. Virtually a lock to become a highly-coveted collector’s item in the near future thanks mostly to its iconic namesake, this low-mile 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 up for grabs at Cars & Bids could certainly sell for big money when the hammer falls in a couple of days.
Finished in Shadow Black with just 5,600 miles on the clock, this particular 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 has a lot going for it, including the fact that it represents this model’s final year of production. The one-owner car is in fantastic condition, as one would expect given the low mileage total, and has very few flaws outside of the typical paint chips, scratches, and curb rash.
In terms of optional equipment, this GT350 is also fitted with the Handling Package, which adds adjustable strut top mounts and a Gurney flap, as well as the Technology Package, which consists of a Bang & Olufsen sound system, blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert, heated door mirrors, puddle lights, and a navigation system with voice activation.
The main attraction of the GT350 is its powerplant, however, and it’s a glorious one – Ford’s naturally-aspirated 5.2L Voodoo V8, which cranks out 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. It’s mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and there are plenty of other goodies that help it put that power to the ground, including MagneRide adaptive dampers and 19-inch wheels which are wrapped with a set of new Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires in this case.
A sure-fire future classic, this S550 generation Mustang Shelby GT350 is already attracting quite a bit of interest at auction, but it remains to be seen if it will surpass its $65k MSRP when it’s all said and done.
