Though it may not have quite the appeal (or value) of the original 1969-1970 version, the 2012-2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is undoubtedly a cool car with a lot to like. The 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 was also named one of the best used sports cars on the market for under $30k by Kelley Blue Book last year, though values have likely increased a bit since then. Regardless, this 2013 Mustang Boss 302 up for grabs at Cars & Bids is certainly a fine example of its breed with just 1,800 original miles on the clock.
As a result, this School Bus Yellow beauty is in fantastic, like-new condition inside and out. It does sport a couple of modifications – aftermarket rear quarter window louvers and an aftermarket rear spoiler – but nothing that can’t be reversed easily. Otherwise, this rare machine (just 8,335 Boss 302s were built in 2012 and 2013) is a perfect car for a collector or just someone looking for a very nice S197 Boss 302.
With an original MSRP of $45,465, this particular Boss is equipped with the optional Equipment Group 500A, which included the SYNC Package, Boss Interior Package, hood stripe number two, a hockey stick side stripe, and painted side mirrors. Power is still impressive even by today’s standards, as the car’s naturally-aspirated Ford 5.0L V8 Coyote powerplant was original rated to produce 444 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, which it sends to the rear wheels via a Torsen limited-slip rear differential with 3.73 gears.
Clearly, this 2013 Mustang Boss 302 has been well-taken care of over the years, likely with an eye toward preserving it for future value. Whether or not the new owner decides to keep it that way is up to them, but as nice as these cars are to drive, we’d do exactly that if it was in our garage.
