The Ford Mustang Mach-E remains a hot commodity, and the vast majority of owners say they would buy it again if given the chance. The Mach-E ranks second on J.D. Power’s 2022 U.S. Electric Vehicle Experience (EVX) Ownership Study and recently joining Consumer Reports‘ list of recommended vehicles. Now, that same consumer organization has named the Ford Mustang Mach-E as one of the most satisfying electric SUVs to own as well.
To determine the most satisfying vehicles to own, Consumer Reports asks its members one simple question – “if you had it to do all over again, would you definitely buy or lease the same model?” It compiles those responses with its own testing and reliability ratings to come up with these rankings and also breaks down each vehicle in terms of styling, driving experience, comfort, value, and in-car electronics.
In that regard, the Mustang Mach-E ranks as one of the top EV SUVs with an overall score of 80, beating out the Tesla Model Y and its score of 59 by a significant margin. The Volkswagen ID.4 also made the cut in terms of the most satisfying all-electric SUVs, but that particular model is still being tested and hasn’t received an overall score as of yet. The Mach-E scored well in almost every individual category as well, earning a 91 out of 100 in driving experience, a 91 in styling, 76 in comfort, a 48 in value, and a 5 out of 5 in owner satisfaction.
It’s worth pointing out, however, that all three EV crossovers that earned most satisfying status scored a perfect 5 in owner satisfaction, which indicates that EV owners, in general, are pretty satisfied with their vehicles. The Model Y also scored a 96 in driving experience but a less stellar 80 in styling, 78 in comfort, and 52 in value, while the ID.4 earned scores of 96 in driving experience, 100 in comfort, 91 in styling, and 74 in value.
